Aims and Objectives

Aims and Objectives of the association:

  1. To preach and spread the message of Late Dr. Amrik Singh Cheema, founder of YFA Punjab.
  2. To set up education cum training centres/ Schools/ Colleges/ Universities to promote art, agriculture, animal husbandry, engineering, management and rural development.
  3. To coordinate and work with the research centres of agriculture, so as to introduce new technology, new methods of farming, new varieties of seeds and other related scientific farming procedures.
  4. To coordinate and utilize the creative abilities of rural youth for improvement of community life and agriculture.
  5. To organize local clubs for Rural Boys and Girls to help them to adopt improved farming and home making methods through specific programmes which will develop leadership, healthy competition and cooperative spirit in work and recreation.
  6. To promote interstate, national and international goodwill and understanding through exchange of farmers.
  7. To arrange meetings, rallies, conferences, seminars and organize exhibitions to discuss special problem of the youths and the farmers.
  8. To adopt such other measures as may be necessary to introduce better methods of agriculture and, if possible, mixed farming amongst the members with a view to improving their economic conditions.
  9. To undertake measures to spread knowledge pertaining to the latest technique and practices in agriculture and to run educational institutions for the purpose of imparting training in agriculture, agricultural machinery, agro industries, dairy and other allied services.
  10. To spread the message, train and impart knowledge about various health issues, Rural Women Empowerment, drawbacks of Drug Addiction and other social evils etc. amongst rural youth.
  11. To undertake the training and education of the members in particular and farmers in general in modern methods and practices of agriculture and principles of cooperation.
  12. To develop proper type of democratic and Co-operative leadership in youth so as to make them capable of meeting effectively the challenges of the future.
  13. To undertake any other economic and service activity to attain the objects and to maintain institutions particularly the Punjab Young Farmers Training Centre being run since 1965 by the Association.
  14. To help the farming community in the development of farming by assisting them in procurement of input, technical guidance, imparting practical training and in obtaining financial assistance for agricultural machinery and other farm requisites by obtaining loan from commercial and cooperative banks or other banking institutions.
  15. To provide guidance for advanced studies and helping them get admissions in the institutions and help the members of the farmers families for getting employment and self employment by rendering them information and guidance regarding the posts and vacancies available.
  16. To establish libraries, publish daily newspapers, periodicals and brochures, hold seminars, provide literature and adopt ways and means to introduce social reforms.
  17. To undertake such other activities as are conducive to the attainment of the above objects or as the association may deem fit.
